For centuries, artists have recognised that when countered with shade, light has a mythical capacity to direct and command one’s gaze. Illumination permits us to see, and alludes to what may be lurking within the proverbial shadows. Seeing the Light delves into the myriad ways artists harness the concept of light literally and metaphorically.
The curated works traverse the broad spectrum of interpretations - some include biblical references in their titles, others highlight the physical phenomena of light, and yet others explore thematic elements. Woven throughout this exhibition is a fascination with the expansive possibility of light.

“Light, in these companion works, becomes both presence and provocation - a force that quiets and ignites.
Incandescent Silence, with its ambient green glow and shimmering edge, evokes a vast, contained stillness — a luminous meditation on interior space and suspended time. Its radiance whispers rather than declares, holding the viewer in a moment of reflective stillness. Soul Ember, in contrast, smoulders with transition — from pink to orange, it suggests ignition, emotion, awakening. This is light as transformation: an ember of the soul, glowing with the quiet heat of consciousness stirring.
Together, the works speak of illumination in two forms — one expansive, one intimate — asking not only what it means to see the light, but to feel it.”
