| A vast installation by Eric Bridgeman forms the centerpiece of a major exhibition at QA GOMA until Jan 17. No.1 Neighbour: Art in Papua New Guinea 1966-2016 presents work dating from the mid-1960s to today. The exhibition focuses on the vibrancy of artistic expression and Eric has embellished a long wall within the galley with PNG designs as a backdrop for his new photographic works. A key concept within the exhibition is the important relationship between Australia and Papua New Guinea and Eric’s The Trade photographs highlight aspects of cultural exchange. |
