Adriane Strampp is a finalist in the 2020 Fisher’s Ghost Art Award. The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award is an annual art prize inviting artists to submit works in a variety of artistic categories and mediums. The Fisher’s Ghost Art Award coincides with Campbelltown’s annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost. Held over 10 days, the Festival celebrates Australia’s most famous ghost – Frederick Fisher. Strampp’s painting Dust Storm (2019), was showcased in the finalist exhibition.

Adriane Strampp is a Melbourne-based romantic and figurative painter. Her sumptuous and evocative paintings tend towards the ethereal, being not about subject as much as the sentiment that it conveys.
In her studio, fragments of reference material are rearranged, merged and edited to create a new ambiguous reality and a sense of discord; a response painted from the artist’s personal experiences and broader response to the current global climate.
