Lori Pensini is no stranger to an art art prize. Currently hanging in the Salon des Refuses at SH Erwin Gallery in Sydney, Pensini has been shortlisted for eight other art prizes so far this year. In 2023, Pensini was shortlisted for 13 prizes including the Sulman Prize at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the prestigious Portia Geach Memorial Award, the Dobell Drawing Prize and the Deakin University Small Sculpture Award. In 2022, 11 award exhibitions shortlisted Pensini among their finalists.
With a practice which explores her connection to the land on her remote cattle station in Western Australia, Pensini's practice strikes a chord with curators and collectors alike.
