Keith Burt was Highly Commended for his new work, Tristesse, the inaugural Maquette: Sculpture Award McLelland Gallery and Sculpture Park this week. Burt was one of 62 artists shortlisted from 252 entries. Burt's work, a painted bronze, captured the attention of judge John Meade. The award is supported by celebrated Australian artist Rick Amor to honour sculptural skill and expression.
The finalists’ works will be exhibited at McClelland Gallery in Mornington until February 22nd, 2026, offering the opportunity to explore a broad cross section of contemporary Australian sculpture at small scale.
