The 2019 Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award (SMFACA) celebrates and promotes contemporary Australian artists working in the ceramic medium. Held at Shepparton Art Museum in Victoria, it carries $50,000 in prize money and is considered the premier Australian acquisitive ceramic award. Lynda Draper was announced as the winner of this award at the opening ceremony on June 21.
There were six artists short-listed for the 2019 award including Julie Bartholomew, Stephen Bird, Greg Daly, Lynda Draper, Juz Kitson and Isadora Vaughan.
