Notes: these works are hollow cast aluminium ‘tabletop’ sculptures with a solid base, weighing approximately 2kg each. There are 30 heads in the series, each wuku corresponding to a day of the Javanese Pawukon calendar and containing relevant traditional imagery.
Maktal: Presided by a god named Sakri, persistent, does everything well. Beautiful, talks sweetly, well-liked and gains the favour of a distinguished figure (their superior). Broadminded and gentle in thoughts.
